Picture this : A young boy, probably age 11 or 12 who wears trackies and too much jewelery, going around shouting bad language at random people because they cannot control their primal instincts. Usually a typical chav has impregnated at least 3 teenage girls and bought at least £50.000 worth of mcdonalds, including a hefty amount of trackies.
They nest only in Britain but "chavophobia" can spread very easily.
Chavs usually hunt in packs and are seen near fast food outlets (commonly McDonald's) and if compromised, be prepared for lots of verbal abuse.
The easiest way to tell a chav from a citizen is by their car. Citroen's are very common chav vehicles, containing both stickers and a boom box.
